The National Cathedral in Northwest Washington, D.C. is one of the largest cathedrals in the world as well as the most culturally unique. MLK, Jr. gave his final Sunday sermon here, Helen Keller and Woodrow Wilson are interned here, there is a Darth Vader gargoyle, one window contains a piece of lunar rock and a first edition King James bible to can be found here... convinced of it's uniqueness? In this series Chris Campbell gives you a sense of the Cathedral's mystery by providing an HDR photography tour.

Mr. Abbot Kinney deserves a lot of credit for these photos. He single-handedly made this place photogenic designing the canals that wind through parts of this Los Angeles neighborhood. The beach, that part he didn't have anything to do with.

Rocks and the Sun and dead trees and dried river beds have never looked so inviting. I never really thought much of Utah besides that whole religion thing, but it is the most ridiculously beautiful state out there. The back roads through SE Utah will prove it to you.

US 50 through Nevada is apparently known as America's Loneliest Road. I can't imagine anyone refuting this claim. It cuts right though Nevada where most everything is dusty and deteriorating and rocky, but serene and beautiful, if not scary as hell. This lady at a general store in Eureka, NV told me to take a back road from the back road to Winnemucca if I wanted to go to Oregon. More of the same, but still, US 50 seemed lonelier.

Dilapidated saloons, beat up homesteads, crumbling pioneer rock homes are much of what's left capitalism's history along the Utah and Nevada back roads. Considered ghost towns, but most of them still have people living in them, riding around on 4-wheelers, partying like it's 1899.

Photos from a stop in eastern Nevada, a few dusty, gravelly miles off of the "lonliest road", US 50. I only needed a water, but if one were in rural Nevada and needed a semi truck, an El Camino, some buffalo or a mean looking junk yard dog then this place is a goldmine.

Long exposures taken while aimlessly following gravel roads after midnight through Grand Mesa National Forest and Grand Basin National Park. Nothing can fully capture the spookiness of walking alone in the wilderness late at night, and these Colorado and Nevada landmarks were plenty haunted by the full moon and whipping winds.

In 2003, I received an artist's enrichment grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women to produce this body of work.

Each of the women (and one man) is a friend of mine (if they weren't before, they became intimate friends during the process of photographing, talking and painting).

They are all artists; Visual, writers, dancers and a filmmaker.

The man is a sculptor, photographer, political activist.

I am grateful to all of these people who so graciously gave me complete freedom to paint their images.

Old, small city. Lots of old buildings, a few new ones lurking. A famous scientist grew up in that white house across the street, and Jefferson Davis went to College a few doors down. Long exposures taken from the attic of an old colonial house with a view of the new and old of the 'Athens of the West'.

The storyline begins with some photos that were released from declassified archives of the USSR. This transforms into an abstract, post-apocalyptic journey from destroyed wharehouses in Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, to abandoned textile processing in upstate New York. Created using the Russian photos, phone photos and original illustrations. Produced using Flash.

An animation created with from-the-car photos and original drawings, but it's also a glorified MP3 player. The Caveman Laboratory exhibit provides a fitting soundtrack to an abstract, low-budget adventure story. Shot out West in 2003, also includes original drawings, journal entries and later scribblings about the trip.

Obscene, Vol 1 No. 1, of the handful of zines created between 1991-93 by Chris Rosenthal and Eric Schoenborn. Surprisingly, little was done to mass-produce/distrubute any of these little fockers, until now. Here's the initial samping from the lost files.

Illustrations and elements created and refurbished in Photoshop for the Obscene Zine Project between 1991-94 by Chris Rosenthal and Eric Schoenborn. Again, little was done to mass-produce any of these, but some of these were created as stickers and plastered all over the greater Nati area.
